Est in 1902 this golf course sits nestled in the city of Nottingham, A Heathland golf course with sand-based push up greens, Stretches over 70 acres with 26 bunkers and the Greens approx. measure 8000m2
It offers all year-round golf due to the site’s natural drainage. With a mixture of mature woodlands.
The ideal candidate will have the desire and ambition to drive the course forward and be a Head Green Keeper looking for a new challenge or an ambitious first assistant looking to develop their career. They must have a flexible and positive attitude to work. Be able to achieve a high level of attention to detail and lead and build a team of dedicated staff.
Possible on-site accommodation
You will report directly to the Club Manager and organise the day to day running of the course and practice facilities as well as managing the club’s greenkeeping team.
The applicant must have their own transport and be willing to work rotated weekend mornings. You will have complimentary use of the course as a Full Member
Duties will include:
To understand and implement the agreed maintenance programmes
Assist in the day to day running of the department to maximise efficiency and productivity
Understand fertiliser and pesticide rates, calibrations, procedures and maintain records
Working with the agreed annual budget in line with the programme of maintenance and improvement works
Making all necessary purchases of supplies and materials within the approved budget
Operate all the golf course equipment
Other reasonable activities/requests in relation to the management of the course should be undertaken as and when required.
Bulwell Forest Golf Club Head Greenkeeper
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Minimum NVQ/SVQ level 2, ideally level 3 for this position.
Spraying certificates and experience in spraying are a must have qualification PA1, PA2 & PA6
A chainsaw certificate is a desirable.
Experience of machinery operations and maintenance
Knowledge of fertilisers and infestation/preventative treatments and awareness of when they should be applied
Full driving license
First aid training
